Tranquil Wrath

First storm to hit the area in over 6 months, I was so excited!! Straight to my chosen spot and took hundreds of shots, just waiting for that moment. The sky was so extreme, there was no wind, no rain, just the crazy clouds, and lightning! The rain of course was close, but I managed to get this before it started to pour :)

Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. the boat is the same subject in River Living and I was very thankful it was still for this to work.

Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available large, and best viewed large! :)

Bugger hey, glad I got this one, was the last real bolt besides a few small ones, hardly visible.. Just didn’t quite get dark fast enough! hehe.. Thanks mate!

Great lighting across the centre of the image contrasting perfectly with the storm clouds and dark water in foreground, the lightning adds another element to a great shot.
