Night Stalking

A female lion, or lioness, prefers to hunt at night, as they have a massive advantage over many other animals, excellent night vision! They can basically stalk right up to their prey, and with minimal chase, capture them. Going straight for the throat to elimate noise and starve them of oxygen, making a quick kill. They also hunt at nights because it’s much cooler in their natural habitats in Africa.

With other night predators around, making a silent kill is the key to a good feed. A pack of hungry wild dogs, like hyena, will take a kill from a lion, or even a small pride of lions.
