Peregrine Falcon Portrait

This is the quickest moving animal on the planet, the Peregrine Falcon. These birds can dive in excess of 400 kilometres per hour! This is faster than free fall speed, as they flap their wings to get even more speed on the dive.. Their prey is mostly flying, like birds and bats, so speed is a great advantage. They also hunt small mammals, small reptiles, and insects.

They are the most wide-spread bird of prey, found in almost every country in the world.
