Adam Currey

Wallsend, AUSTRALIA

Hello, my name is Adam and I am a passionate amateur photographer based in Newcastle, in NSW Australia.

I have been interested in photography intermittently for most of my life, and have been serious about it since getting my first SLR camera in 2006. Initially something of a generalist, I have covered wildlife, landscapes, urban decay, people, various sports and many other genres. More recently however, I have been inspired by the wonderful Chocolat to explore a darker, more moody, evocative, style.

My photography is definitely on the artistic side of the fence rather than documentary – I do not attempt to relay to you as the viewer what I saw, but rather to have you feel something when you look at my pictures. I want it to move you. If I succeed, then I may call myself an artist, for I believe that is the essence of what art is.

Feel free to drop me a line and let me know whether or not I have succeeded.
