Granny moth / Old Lady moth - Dasypodia selenophora by

Carol took the bedclothes away for washing and when she came back this gorgeous moth was sitting on the mattress (‘Eeek! Take it away!’)

The moth was quite content to sit on my finger. Sadly, as you can see, it has a damaged antenna, presumably from fluttering around trying to get out of the bedroom. Not sure how it even got in there as the windows are screened. One of the mysteries of life :-)

  • Thanks Jesika – yes, I let the moth go outside once it had finished its modeling obligations!

    Hi Trev
Looks like the new ring flash has come into its own already. Nice work.

  • Thanks mate. Yes – I’m very happy with the new flash, especially now I’ve got one that works properly!
