Villandry Castle - Loire Valley - France

I was thrilled to be able to visit Villandry Castle in the Loire Valley of France. We had planned several trips to the Loire in the past that we had to cancel for one reason or another so it was great to be able to visit a couple of the chateau. Villandry was finished in 1536 and was one of the last chateaus built during the Renaissance. It is famous for its enormous formal gardens.
