Alewife On The Red Line

This is the Alewife Subway Station just outside of Boston in Arlington, MA. Kind of an impromptu shot, it was a 4 second shutter and I didn’t have a tripod handy. I’m pretty pleased with my steady hand! :)

The black lines above the train are decorations that are hung from the ceiling. They are long thin rods of black metal that hang in even spaces above the trains. They may serve another purpose I’m not sure.
