Models were built and textured and adjusted on 3dsMAX 8.0, then the render was adjusted a bit on Photoshop to balance colours and take away some of the CGI feeling in exchange for a surreal one. Although it still feels CGI… Anyway, another little piece to test my still basic abilities.
Let’s explain this thing a bit: it’s a massive pyramidal fortress, guarded by dozens of ships (though, as a test, this picture only features three missile carriers attacking) of all sizes. It’s based on a short story I wrote, and hopefully the pyramid turned right as I imagined it should be. The main idea when I sit to write it was to make something extremely odd looking, rare and alien-like. I must thank the amazing Panzer Dragoon games for the inspiration as they are also based on surrealism and odd-looking stuff.
