Born in Birmingham, AL Randy Rease grew up as the fourth of five siblings. Early on, his love of nature and the outdoors became very apparent. This is because, ever since he was a child, Randy was always in the local woods, creek, or lake often with a camera in his hand. He helped to build a dark room at a local church and learned to develop film in his early teens. Randy has had a number of pictures and stories printed in the local newspapers, several magazine publications, and has appeared on TV documentaries.
Throughout his life Randy has always written and photographed his various adventures whether scuba diving off the islands of Central America, the Dutch, Nether land Antilles or Elk hunting in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. His stories always brought a sense of excitement, wonderment, and laughter to many. Randy has a way of making you feel like you were there with him, sharing in his adventures through pictures and writings. Author and "State Poet Loriet, Ralph Hammond once referred to Randy in a book as “my friend and fellow writer”
Later he expanded into videography so that he might better document and illustrate his stories, adventures, his love of horses, and the outdoors. He became certified and graduated through the “Brock Ray School of Videography” and counts Brock as a great friend and mentor. Randy’s enthusiasm and positive attitude have quickly gained him notoriety as his unique style, commitment, and hard work capture those “magical moments” and memories of a lifetime.
Randy has always chosen to remain an independent photographer. “I love creating vibrant imagery for a commercial shoot, capturing the power and majesty of God’s great creation, or spending time with a family, creating a memorable portrait. Every shoot is a unique challenge, with unique possibilities.”
