challenged
oil on canvas – 2×4 feet. pallete knives.
this is called “challenged” because it came out not looking anything like the idea i had in mind, and the process was very frustrating.
in the last like 3 minutes i decided to do the vertical wide-knife strokes, and that seemed to help.
lots of napthol scarlet.

wow ray~ the feeling is more than a happy rainbow… it’s empowering with a heavy passion… but rich and gorgeous and pretty esthetically…

thanks, mimi. my original intention was to have like 30 lines of color about 3/4 inch or so wide, with little or no gradation. this proved to be near impossible with knives. i may go ahead and try the concept again with brushes. glad you like it though. :0)
