love this… colour and rage…. i’m sure it wasn’t meant to but it takes on a gay connotation for me… the whole flag thing….... b

WELL.. I feel the Cathartic!! I feel the essence of all we are.. layers and layers of perfect color..Xed out sometimes.. by our thinking.. brilliant work!!

  • Ray Schloss replied

hey, lina… the colors are meant to be our lives. but the x is not just our thinking. wish it was that easy… thanks for your kind comments. :0)

  • linaji

    linaji

Ray.. it is that easy.. I am finding that the way I think at every moment is the key to my happiness.. but this is not the place.. Your work here punches this home.. so.. you tell me.. what is that X?

This one sings to me, it feels like a Peter Tosh song.

  • Ray Schloss replied

this is before your time…. but i saw peter tosh on saturday night live singing “don’t look back” with mick jagger in like ‘78, which was very cool… :0) and much better than this

  • AmandaGWright

    AmandaGWright

HA! You say “this was before your time…” as if I am a newborn babe and you are wobbly with age, cane in hand….

  • Ray Schloss replied

I feel the bold colors being stroked on the canvas with vigor and strength…you pounded this one huh Ray! I can feel that! So much meaning in such a beautiful piece. It’s obvious that everyone sees something completely different in one public display of art. I believe that is the wonderment of creating abstract & it doesn’t matter how many variations of comments…the artist always & only knows the truth! I love this one Ray. Great work!

  • Ray Schloss replied

    you’re very kind, my friend… :0)

That’s ok, Ray. It brought me back to visit this piece. I love it.
I’m fine. Just returned from NYC and walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. Two weeks ago I walked over the Manhattan Bridge and did 18 miles walking around. Didn’t do as much today, LOL. Hope you are well.

  • Ray Schloss replied

hey hey hey!! great to hear from you. glad you are staying active. speaking of walking, i did the bataan death march memorial marathon in the new mexico mountains in march, most people do the whole 26.2 miles with a 35 lb backpack. got a blister on my right foot that was the equivalent of a 2nd degree burn. but it was still a great experience! how are aerobics going??

My son did something very similar in Texas with his army recruits.
I’m still teaching and still very strong for almost 59 years old, LOL. Love it!
