Purchases are fantastic!
This is a typical sight on Ecuadorian roadways. They seem to have very few laws and most pickups have someone in the box. People are on the side of the road to flag down the many buses which are their only means of transportation. 87% do not own a motor vehicle. Most women are holding a child as pedestrians do not have right-of-way.
This is one of the better roads we encountered. It seems like there was a broken down truck being repaired on the roadside every 10 miles.
