I love this picture of my half-brother Lucien against this beautiful old car. I estimate he is about 8 years old here. The photo was probably taken by my maternal grandfather, the local photographer. He was born in 1928 near Radville, Saskatchewan, Canada to my father and his first wife, Evelyn Galarneau who passed away shortly thereafter. Lucien was unfortunately electrocuted in an industrial accident in Kirkland Lake, Ontario in August of 1958 at the age of 30 so I never got to know him very well.. His lovely wife Katherine never remarried and lives now in Victoria , BC. Lucien is buried in a Catholic cemetery in Edmonton, Alberta where we visit him on our many trips to the Alberta capital. Photo lovingly restored by yours truly.
It’s a terrific picture of him Al. I love the lean against the old car pose too.. Sad story with it but a great photograph~
Thank you for your sweet response. Even though I never knew him well, only from a few rare visits, I still feel that a piece of me is missing. I have run across other relatives from a different area of Saskatchewan that were influenced by my brother to move further west to the Edmonton, Alberta area, and further, even to the Yukon Territory.

What a fabulous photograph. Very evocative of its era. He looks like he would grow up to be a very handsome man. How sad his life was cut short.
Thank you so much for your sympathies. I wish I had gotten to know him better.
