A Rose Fallen

A rose fallen
Is like two lovers
Laid to rest
In fallen snow
Both proclaimed by sanity
And in their midst
Disbelievers
A dead rose petal
And the blood of survivors
Rich in color
Yet useless and unworthy
This is what we are raised to believe
And this
Is what we die proving wrong
