Dying to be thin
Okay so back to the usual, but probably the one subject I never really covered. Its the most important one for me…but the hardest to express. Sometimes when everything is taken away…whether its good or bad, there has to be something that we cling to. I dont know if its an attempt to cling onto something from my own world or whether this is where it began so this is whre it ends…or maybe a bit of both. So many young girls..and boys….as young as 7 are being diagnosed with anorexia or bulimia. All this images that are plastered over magazines are encouraging young girls to push there bodies beyond there limits…and its wrong. Our young minds are brain washed into thinking pictures like these three are healthy and desiarable…and even know I know as a fact they are not by mind is still warped into thinking they are. If you look around the internet for anorexia you will find hundreds of pro eating disorder websites plastered with tips on how to starve…to stay skinny and loaded with pictures of unwell celebrities who are pinned up as “thinspiration”. I am not slating these websites as i wil hold my hands up and admit i have fallen for them….cheryl cole while losing weight thru her divorce….mary kate olsen in the prime of anorexia….nicole richie before she regained her health….but to these vulnerable kids this is beauty. All i am saying is youngsters need to be shown the true horror of eating disorders and more importantly parents need to be aware of what there kids are doing when they ar eonline!
