read what you had to say… in your blog. Geesh.. powerful thoughts, feelings. The third image there is really so powerful. Got to me.. on so many levels. Terrifically done, all. I hope everyone goes and sees what I am talking about.

  • Thanks so much Maureen for taking the time to look and then comment back .. it really is appreciated. Funny enough I posted the third image earlier but deleted it because I felt it was in the wrong order (I know a bit strange:)). I am sure I will post it later though … anyway, thank you so much :)

I especially like the area there in the foreground (rocks/dirt) the lighting is so soft and pretty..and this really grabs me! (as do the others) I know she may be looking out the window & thinking about ice cream or something :) but it’s funny what the eye sees- that the mind tells it to. (From the viewers’ POV) Another powerful piece!

  • Thanks Birgitta … I always like it if I can tell a story but I like even more if I can get someone else’s projected feeling onto my work … of course these are never what they seem .. they just couldn’t be but it always means a lot when someone connects to what i had in my mind .. so as ever THANK YOU :))

First thing that struck me about this is how the little girl is dwarfed by the enormous window, as if the whole concept of religion and its ancient history are overpowering to her young mind.
Awesome how your images evoke such a wide range of emotion, as if everyone reads their own story into them….
And as usual, your exposure is spot on… you managed to capture those details in the brickwork yet keep them low key and melancholy which contributes so much to the vibe.
    Awesome work.

  • As always billy you have read my work perfectly and yet allowed it to stay open for your own interpretation (hope that makes sense … getting late:))
    Thanks billyboy :)

Another amazing photo Deborah. Read your blog post and I associate with your words so much. Visually all your work is stunning but I really love the way you pose questions in your images without being dogmatic…. they always seems to maintain a respect for others beliefs

  • Thanks Matt … I never like to impose my own views and I really try not to criticise others … sometimes it is hard to get it right when writing it down but I am glad I don’t come across as dogmatic. Thanks so much for reading my blog :)
