With child’s play, you’ve really challenged your audience, (me at least as one of) to keep up with your artistic commentary. Your light , and subjects are crafted as always so brilliantly to compliment that commentary. But the added grit is something I wish I could aspire too. Very inspirational contempory art Deb, You’re a star : )
Thank you so much Graham – not sure how to follow that lol!! I think if I ever feel down I shall come back and read your encouragement – thanks as always :)
Deborah, this is fantastic. Love your subject and the light and shadow play. It also has a feeling of an Alfred Hitchcock movie.
Thank you so much Susan – such a great comment. Please forgive the silence on the blog – I am half way done and really hope to have it finished by this week. It has really made me think in a way I actually hadn’t before.
amazing the feeling that dolls can evoke, especially in b and w. great work.
Thank you so much micklyn. This doll was mine as a little girl but sadly Fleur left it in the rain (without me knowing) and she is a bit rusty around the eyes lol!! But I agree, something very evocative about dolls.
Excellent shot Deb, i’m just too freaked out that the thing’s going to come to life (seen too many chucky movies I guess) to look at it for too long. I find it quite eiree in that respect (everyone will take something different from a shot – such is the beauty of it)
