Excellent dof Deb. The detail on the carousel is as sharp as a tack and the foreground focal interest works very well.
Great title too

Wonderful Deborah, the lighting is just perfect as always :)

Gorgeous work Debs! Love the clarity of the fairground ride against the bluriness of Fleur! I too often dream of wooden horses…...but only after huge quantities of port and cheese!
velveteagle
Lots of daydreams in this capture Deb.. Grand job of it..
micmac
Realy looks dreamy, fantastic expression on the horse ,even scary, beautiful work.
Ellie Winds
your pictures of your children have so much love and so much more. the technique you use is gorgeous. have you ever considered putting them together in a book? maybe that is your intent – if not – it seems truly unfair if we on red bubble are the only people able to share these. :)
Deri Dority
Another brilliant B&W. I agree with Megan, you should have your photos published. They are too special and need a wider audience.
Pal Gyomai
Deb, you do amazing work. Megan is right, you should be workind on a book.
David Taylor

This is brilliant Deb.. really wonderful. This is a brilliant series that you must love revisiting. I love the atmosphere and dream like qualities that you have created here in your processing. The blurring in this is fantastic.. stare at this long enough and the horse can almost become a little sinister!
Martin Derksema
Very strong picture, Deborah. Love the energy, power and action of the horses. Fantastic how you bathed them in pure white light. If I look at it from the viewpoint of dream symbolic I would say you are in balance with yourself and your surroundings. Also you might be afraid loosing something, but your innocence well help you to cope with that. Pure magic, straight from sub-concious levels; so, strong art.

Paul Louis Vil...
Wow Deb, your work continues to amaze and inspire! Love your style, It’s becoming “signature”! :D
Douzy
The dof works really well to illustrate the “dream” effect. I like the way you’ve highlighted the horse. I agree with the comments above – since your work is so consistent (style and theme) it’s ready to be put together in a book or presented as an exhibition. Despite the dark tones I think your photos would also work as childrens’ book illustrations. Please contact your nearest editor right now ;))

Looks like a scary dream to me… ;) Love the dreamy quality of this Deb, and the point of focus is spot on!
Colin Tobin
The DOF does give this a very distinct dreamy quality. I don’t think it’s a good dream. The girl looks a little weary of the horses.
Fantastic work Deborah!

coffeebean
well done this is fantastic, superb DOF
shawhouse
I love the DOF as well. The framing, bright light and sharp focus on the riderless horse is inviting and creepy – those things are right up there just under circus clowns on the creepy & menacing scale. Fleur – the innocent – in soft focus, suspended between the viewer and danger – you want to call out, but you can’t be heard over the calliope’s siren’s song playing only for the ears of unsuspecting little children…oooh, spooky! Boy, am I making this up!!!! even close?
AngelArtist
What is DOF, if I may ask? It is an exquisite image. I love it.
Deborah Parkin replied
Hi AngelArtist – dof means depth of field – hope that helps. And thank you for taking the time to comment – really appreciate it.
