Smashing image Deb, I love the contrast of the lighthouse against the sky.

Once again, the effects here are something else Deb. Almost “Kes” like again with the shading to the left of the lighthouse.

The reminents of light on the grass and path are superb and the clouds have come out a treat

I love lighthouses too, there is something romantic about them. And Deborah there is a whole story here somehow…

Puts me in mind of Carousel a bit. (POV)
Because lighting, for me, is so important in photography,
it makes all the difference that there are highlights, etc. here and there..
and you demonstrate that nicely! For example, the streak of sunlight on the
left side of his head here. I can’t help but to wonder what he’s thinking also. :)
The dark areas at the bottom of this image are JUST right. Another stunner!!

And it looks good framed too!

Fantastic Deb. The sky takes you on a journey of its own. I think the outlines of light are brilliant, and so is the light as always. You’ve used that incredible perspective which you now own, and I really love the solid forms in the left hand corner.

Wow! This is magical! A real masterpiece.. sorry am I getting over dramatic? But then a piece with this drama demands that.. Great work.. I love the processing of this and the composition and subject just brilliant! I always get taken back to old BBC childrens dramas when I see your work like this.. You really do stir up some emotion with your work and it definately gets the old grey matter working!

wow, I love it. for me it expresses the theme that drives the series – the viewer is invited to see (in this case the magically glowing lighthouse) through a child’s eyes (via the over-the-shoulder shot and his position in the image). the lighting is unnatural, stylized & perfect.

I love the high contrast and the slight glow around the lighthouse; there is indeed something magical about them, and you’ve captured that here perfectly.
