found some words – love the title – it says it all. This image is a study of a child in contemplation. Of course you love your kids, but even more – your work conveys profound respect for them as individuals.- one reason, i think, why your photography speaks a universal language. – I’m not blowing smoke, Deb. Not exactly a wordsmith and this is hard to express without it sounding like overblown rhetoric. So, in summary, bravo!

Incredible. Almost fell of my chair watching this. What a visual power. The light in the clouds almost burns a hole in my eye balls, which is a pleasant experience in this case. Again you transform a ‘small’ event into a experience on very large scale. I have this rock at the river where I look at the water every day. For me these are the moments in which I know who I am. When I llok at your picture I realise that I have always had my rocks at the river, as I child too. And when I was a child those moments were about feeling what I was too. In other words: your image does a lot with me again.

Hi Deborah! You’ve succeeded to convay the sence of lonelyness with the space around. And yet with that soft sky infront and above, you can get a sence that he isn’t quite alone. I like the crispness around the silhouette. Your boy has so much shape around him, it reminds me of a shadow puppet show, which always amazes me. Because, they only rely on shadow shape and light!

This picture made me cry for a very long time. It struck something inside me, I haven’t touched upon since I was a boy and HAD to.
Your pictures have the ability to inflict real pain and/ore joy, and that is a very rear and powerful thing.
When I stopped crying it was like something ugly inside me was gone for ever.
