Knock Knock
I am only uploading this b&w version for my portflolio – I think it will look better than sepia – a more cohesive body of work (I am keeping the sepia version but moving it down). This image has been sitting here unpublished for a very long time. Thank you for looking.

black and white – you just couldn’t resist could you, oh go on then and through in a strong vigentte too and you have the hallmarks of your style that are instantly recognisable and throughly enjoyable to view.
Knock, knock? You’re lucky – if this was Adam it would be pull pull or push push until it broke. More bang, bang than knock, knock!
Deborah Parkin replied
LOL Stuart – you always give me the funniest comments. Don’t believe everything the camera tells you – she isn’t as dainty as she looks :) How’s life – hope it is great!!
Grantly
This is sads (in my mind)...wonderful and passionate. :)

In the morning, before work, our little one Charli came out and sleepily said, while I was viewing your new Knock Knock, hey that’s me. She was very impressed with herself.
I love this image Deb, I think it’s one of your most wonderful.
One day art historians will write reams about it, we privelaged rb’ians get to see it now : )
marshall calve...
spotlighting the life and times of our kids is usually a snap shot in a album, not here, here we have a girl who looks lost and needing help,I love how you have her with her hand on the handle trying to get in away from the dark and cold,
a dark tonal range giving us that all important mood and feeling, great work Deborah
Trish Woodford

Marvelous. Instantly brought back a very old memory of mine, of when I was a little girl, knocking on my grandparents’ bedroom door, because I was frightened in the night.
Deborah Parkin replied
Thanks Delany – my photography is about memory and past and this makes me very happy to see it has re-ignited something in you (hope that makes sense). Thanks for your lovely comment.

This has immense feeling and story, such a good image Deborah. Love the low angle and the darkness surrounding the subject really draws you in. I think I have been that little kid once upon a time.
