Totally agree. We live right in the middle and it only takes little more than an hour to get to either the west coast or the east coast. Favourite beaches; Manu beach, Raglan, Ocean beach, Kawhia, the Mount, Papamoa.

Ocean Beach is wicked, love Raglan and Kawhia. We’re a bit far away from the Mount here in New Plymouth, but the times I’ve been there I’ve loved it.
Took the whanau down to the Caitlins coast south of Dunedin a couple of years ago – that was awesome! Also just got back from Samoa just over a month ago – now there’s some beaches!
