His real name was Charles Dennis Buchinsky. At age16 he started working in the coal mines with his brothers. His family was so poor that, at one time he had to wear his sister’s dress to school because he had nothing else to wear. In WWII he was an aerial gunner and was awarded a Purple Heart because he got wounded in battle. He played a lot of roles as a real tough guy, his weatherbeaten face was just perfect for that. Director John Huston said this about him: “He’s like a grenade with the pin pulled”. His greatest movies were The Magnificent Seven, Once upon a Time in the West, Death Wish and The Great Escape. When filming abroad he took his entire family with him because he wanted to be close to them. He died in 2003 at the age of 81

The metalic feeling on the face is perfect for Bronson, as it really fits the personality. Fantastic work Arie. Really learned quite a bit from your narrative as well.
I was always fascinated by his face, it’s like a landscape isn’t it? Thank you for your wonderful comment Jim!!
Stunning artwork as always. This is an incredible piece as it shows the shiny, leathery type skin that was shown in this film, wonderful! And amazing how you do this!!! Great work!
Thanks sweetie, for your support, your comments and your love!
That Famous steely look captured by the Great Arie , Bronson the one man bringer of Justice ! I remember those Death wish Films from the seventies , and your mesmerizing work of art captures him to a tee !…I so wish my signature was at the base to this Stunner ! Bravo !
