Hiked “The Loop” on the Falls Trail… only skipping Harrison Wright, Sheldon Reynolds and Murray Reynolds Falls. Was in the company of Lori Deiter and my sister, Cheryl Campbell Sutliff.
Ricketts Glen State Park Luzerne County, Pennsylvania Monday, October 10th, 2011
Canon EOS Rebel T2i Tokina AF 235 II Lens (w/ Tiffen PL filter)
12 RAW files (- 2, 0, + 2) > Photomatix Pro > Photoshop CS5 Photomerge > Silver Efex Pro 2. Captured with Tripod and remote switch…
f/14 with exposures ranging from 0.4 sec to 30 secs. ISO 100 20mm
Gorgeous image of this amazing waterfall, Aaron! It looks like we must have both hopped out onto the same exact rocks in the stream to get our shots of Shawnee this time. Yes, a week makes a big difference in the fall colors here. I remembered that I had wished that we had gone a week later last year, so I decided to wait until the 18th this time. Tim was here on the 18th too, but we never crossed paths because we both took the same route, except he was about an hour ahead of me all day.
Beautiful capture and perfect treatment, my friend!
Thank you kindly, Gene.
The final image is made up of 4 bracketed images merged into HDR, then stitched together with Photomerge in Photoshop making a 38MP file.
Glad your injury healed and were able to get there for the autumn foliage.
I have viewed many glorious images of Ricketts Glen – this one, in b&W, captures the rugged beauty of the rocks yet shows off the silkness of the flowing waters :) Well done!
Thank you very much, Regina. (comments + favorite)
