I love baby leaves and it seems like I haven’t photographed them as much in recent years as I did in the past. In going back through my archives, I found this shot of baby chestnut leaves shot in my backyard and it just called out to me. Maybe all the snow we got last weekend (2-3 feet) has me thinking about spring.
This was taken in May of 2008 with my Nikon D80 and my 60mm macro lens. The D80 was my first DSLR and the 60mm my first macro lens, and that’s when I discovered my passion for macro photography.
I used Nik Color Efex Pro 4 Contrast Color Range and Pro Contrast and the texture is Solstice Puissance from French Kiss Textures.
