I went back through some of my old photos and found this one from the Royal Botanical Gardens in June of 2009. I used Topaz Lens Effects and two filters from Nik Color Efex 4, as well as two French Kiss Textures (May Roses and Muse) to get the painted effect.

Very sweet and soft interpretation, feels like spring!

  • Thank you so much, Celeste. I love lilacs and ours usually bloom in early May, but we already have some buds that are starting to open. Hopefully the return of the chilly weather won’t harm all of the plants that have started their season so early due to our recent hot spell.
