This lovely rhododendron blooms in late April or early May, and the pink-tinged white blossoms are just glorious. They often don’t last very long so I have to make sure I catch them while they last.
The Balta is a PJM hybrid – the PJM was named for Peter J. Mezitt, founder of Weston Nurseries in Hopkinton, Mass.

I played around a lot with this until I got the look I wanted. There’s a layer each of Topaz Simplify Oil and Color Sketch (set to soft light), plus the Apple Moss texture from Flypaper Textures.
