Late afternoon in Spring, walking along the banks of the Parramatta River, in New South Wales, Australia, Ian almost missed this dramatic backlit picture.
Printed, it emerged, brooding, from the black of the page and drew forth a reflective poem from Annie.
The reflectivity of the poem, in turn, evoked emotion of a different colour: a clear deep blue, musing rather than moody, yet disturbing in its clarity.
A variation on a photograph that Ian has also put on A Rhymer’s View of the World. The poem and the colour are Annie’s inspiration.
