Mitchell Falls in the Kimberley/Western Australia during the Dry.
Second of the series, different view point and square crop ratio.
I finally made it to this magic place – a two day journey from Broome, about 1000 kilometres of dirt road return, wrecked the radiator of the car, helicopter flight in and 3.5 km speed hike out to get back to the camp before it is pitch black with 10 kilograms of photo gear. I so hope it was worth it! :-)
I was very fortunate to see the Mitchell Falls flowing at the end of September 2010. Not much, but better than nothing, planning to go back in May.

Thanks so much Dennis! I wish I could have stayed just another 30 minutes but was running out of time to make it back to the camp in time. This was the last shot I got. On the way back the light got heaps better and I was very unhappy about it, of course. Oh well, maybe another time…
