Bronze award for my postcard series by aabzimaging

Posted on November 21, 2010

Three years ago I founded my company aabz-imaging with a postcard series featuring my photos from Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. A lot of progress has been happening since and I am pleased to announce that my 2010 postcard series scored a Bronze Award at this years Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards of Western Australia (PICA)!
Although this is mainly an award for the printing industry and a huge credit & thank you goes to my printer, I am very happy for two reasons:
First, postcards is one of the toughest categories to enter, because it receives so many submissions.
Second, the design and all colour processing, conversion and pre-press work has been done by myself. And of course the photos itself. I believe the choice of design, motives and colour accuracy (underwater blue tones are very hard to print in CMYK) played an important role in the judging process.

    Whoo hoo!!
That’s a very striking feather in your cap, Sasha!! Congratulations! And yes… I’m sure the calibre of the photos had something to do with it ;)

Yes congratulations and well deserved, quality is quality and no matter what the awards were for it is all encompassing as far as branding and award construction is concerned. Well done.
