Home Sweet Home

The front room of a derelict house in Listowel, co. Kerry, Ireland. The checkered light comes in through the tile-less roof. this was once someone’s home with a blazing fire and who knows what stories the room might tell!

This is fabulous. All it needs is a nice pair of curtains, a few logs on the fire and someone to put the kettle on.

  • Thanks Lyn! The window is four foot square (if you’ve got a bit of spare time), I’ll break up that pallet for the fire and I’m waiting for the kettle from Argos!

nicely composed, make your own story out of this one !

  • Thanks Lynda! Many houses are left derelict in Ireland. Once the house has gone beyond repair they are often just vacated and left to collapse. People will rebuild nearby or simply move on.
