This is a beautiful thatched pub/restaurant, The Brace of Pheasants in Plush, Dorset. They have a wonderful menu and I was about to eat there, but, unfortunately, arrived at 15:05 and the kitchens closed at 15:00. Oh well, maybe next time. The pub ‘sign’ is not a sign at all but an illuminated glass cabinet containing a brace of stuffed pheasants – a cock and a hen. I don’t know how long the glass box has been up there, but I know it wouldn’t be five minutes outside a London pub before some senseless yob would throw a brick at it.
AHHHH OOOOOOO!!!!! HERE we gooooo!!!!!!! Yes, I’ll just stop in here for a spot of bitters. Or … that’s probably not how you say it, is it? REGARDLESS … GREAT shot … this is exactly what I am talking about … these amazing bits of architecture and history and the nostalgia we Americans feel deep in our souls … nostalgia for something we’ve never seen in this lifetime … for what was, but never for us. Keep ’em coming!!!!!!!
Thanks Lois! Just a sneaky side view to be getting on with! *_:)_* Tony.

Nicely done T – I like the angle of yoru shot. Very charming little place. It really looks like somebody’s house, which I’m sure at one point it was. What a wonderful find T. Cheers, S.
Thanks Sandra! I’m not sure if it was ever a house, but maybe. It once had its own skittle alley, but that and some other bits have been turned into bedrooms, which can be rented out for bed & breakfast. It’s quite a big old place really. *_:)_* T
