Homage to RavenSoul
RavenSoul (Vonne) was one of the first people to comment and compliment me on my work when I came to RB. In respnse, I viewed her work and was blown away by her images.
They are so different from anything I have done, but so thought provoking. I love that they make me think. They make me look for what may have inspired her and whatever meaning they have for me.
This image does not come close to matching her work, it is as shallow as hers are deep.
Please take a look at her art and don’t flick through, but sit and look for a while. Be careful, they can be intoxicating!

How cool this is that you’ve created a tribute image to Ravensoul. I’m sure when she sees it she will be blown away. You don’t give yourself enough credit T. Just as you can appreciate the depth of her art, you also have depth in your art – it’s just that her visions are different than yours. I like this image very much. It has wonderful tones that are very complimentary to the scene and the texture is that added dimension which gives this creation to a great level of depth. Hugs, 30 S.

Hey you! Where did you disappear to so quickly?
I think that I can take a shot of a tree and I can play around with light, angles, composition, exposure etc. then I can get it home and play around some more on my computer darkroom and produce something that is pleasing to me. But, after all is done, it’s still just a tree!
Vonne on the other hand, can take that tree, blend it with something else, change the texture, change the colour, change the focus, do what she does and it’s no longer just a tree! It’s a book, it’s a face, it’s a wall, it’s a chain, it’s a thought, it’s an idea. I can’t do that, but so wish I could!

It’s beautiful. Again it reminds me of something from my childhood. Like something from a fairy tale. It’s strangely comforting ? I can almost hear my grandma reading to me as i stare into mystical images from another world ….. Great composition and use of color.
