Early one January morning, I got out of bed before dawn and headed in to London and the Thames. I knew where I wanted to get the shot from. I set up the tripod and camera and waited. I hoped the sun would be visible, but had nothing more to base the possibility on other than the sky had been red at sunset the night before. My luck was in!

Thanks Nic! Yes! As with most of my work, I begin with a touch or more of HDR (I just adjust and adjust till I feel happy.) I then play around with the myriad of options for transformation that Photoshop allows. I end up with several layers that I alter and blend, again, till I like what I see. I may even take the result back into an HDR program and play around again. I end up spending anything from 30mins to 8hrs working on a shot and a folder full of the various stages that it took to get to the final image. I am by no means a purist. Most of the ‘work’ I do is in the post processing.
