I am Eva Thomas aka WhiteOak. I am an Amateur Nature Photographer and enjoy focusing on Flora Photography. I use a Nikon D3100 camera with different lens attachments and before recently acquiring my Nikon camera used a Fuji S1000.

I have always enjoyed nature and photography but it was not until 2009-2010 I became really interesting in taking photography to a more professional level. Being a multi media artist most of my life, my art has always been a hands on experience. I am teaching myself with the photography just as I have with my other forms of art.

I have been practicing a lot with macro photography because I love taking close up pictures of things in Nature. Basically, if it is in Nature, I enjoy photographing it, but flowers and especially orchids are amazing to me.

Back in 2006 my husband introduced me to graphic arts. I use several different programs to generate one picture. I won my first award and cash prize at an Art Exhibition in Northeast, Georgia in 2007 and in 2009 I officially became a published artist. Since that time I have designed two different books covers for different authors and getting ready to start another one.
