Seize the Day!

Educated at the University of Rhode Island, BFA.
Concentration in Film, Video, Digital Art, Painting.

Started photography projects at age 10 with B&W film.
My interest was broadened to include 16mm work with an old Bell and Howell I found at a tag sale, then to video tape and digital projects in iMovie and iDVD.

My first serious camera was an Olympus OM 2n.
I currently use a Leica V LUX 1 with a wide angle lens as my main camera and an older Olympus 3040 with wide angle lens.

There aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the creative projects that I’d like to be doing, but I find myself turning to my camera and my mac mostly these days for my creative endeavors and expression.

The Pigeon Man in Marina Park

Sometimes your own personal favorites are the ones you least expect or even plan to capture. As an example, the above image I took at Marina Park in San Diego in the summer of 2006 was totally a lark. The man feeding the pigeons, not unexpected at a public park, did neither plan to be in my photograph nor be the subject of delight for two young and impressionable sisters. It was simply a surreptitious and opportune moment in time.
This photograph wasn’t taken by my best camera but that doesn’t prevent it from having a special quality.
