I am inspired to see beauty in the ordinary.

I enjoy finding interest and beauty in the mundane: the vivid colours, clean and simple lines, the commonplace and the quirky. I enjoy the challenge of making the everyday into something unique. Our world is an amazing place.

My photography is also the means in which to communicate issues and concepts which are personally important to me.

Currently my focus is on self-acceptance and body image. Young girls have so many pressures on them. From as young as five years old, they are aware of expectations with body image. They are taking on board images of themselves as fat, they are dieting, they are obsessing about their looks, and they care far too much about how others see them. Women, also, are too often dissatisfied with their bodies; always wishing for more, or less, or something different. I hope that by viewing my work, that people will examine their own beliefs about body image.

I want people to recognise something in themselves when they view my photos. I want them to be thoughtful. I want them to feel.

New Zealand
I began adding some work from my trip to New Zealand today. We were lucky enough to see scenes of stunning natural beauty as well as quirks in city life.
