Profile

My name is Laura Cutmore.

I’m a 21 year old student currently studying a photography degree at Plymouth College of Art. My course is unfortunately only a few months away from finishing, which is disappointing as I’ve learnt so much and met so many lovely and talented people.

For a while I haven’t really had any specialism or favourite subject regarding my photography. Recently I’ve become more interested in abstract landscape work, but I am then usually drawn back into beautiful studio portraiture. The more I experiment with, the quicker my photography passion grows. I can’t imagine doing anything else anymore.

I work with pretty much anything you give me. I own a Nikon D40x which is what I shoot the majority of my imagery on. I also have an unfortunate lomography obsession, so I own a Fisheye No.1, 35mm Holga, Actionsampler and a 3 lens robot camera. At some point I’ll invest in a 120 Holga and a Diana if I can afford it! I also like to play around with a Polaroid (when I can afford the film), and a crazy little german camera called a Beirette which I found at a car boot for a £1.

I would appreciate any comments and/or constructive criticism on my work as they can only help me get better. Thank you to those that do take the time to look and leave feedback and positive comments, it means a lot :]
