A little background to the art featured:
My name is Scott, and I am a roaming artist-traveller who has been on the road since 1996 after graduating from studies in Anthropology-Archaeology. Travelling is when the learning truly started-journeys far ranging, exhaustive and enlightening-blessedly, an original style of creating art happened to find me on the winding way.
I have lived and worked in places around Australia, New Zealand, Cyprus, Ireland, India, the USA, Korea, Japan, the UK and Thailand; plus doing some other extended trips in varied regions, with my simple backpack and art gear in hand. I heartily attest with what Confucius said,
‘travel is the best education’.
The art is a story from the experiences gleaned on the road and from my own inner self. It’s a quest for beauty and simplicity in this world’s ‘stages of the soul’, asserting the spirituality that is inherent in our everyday life. It’s a vision of unity of all the tribes and of global citizenship, beyond the confines of race, place, space and time.
The trackless Path:
To talk of journey’s beyond Time’s misty hedgeglimpsing up n’ down Accumulation’s razor’s edgewhere the Pilgrim’s companions, Artwork and Travel, overlap
beyond the usual clean, crisp map.
Wordless Insight whispers, makes this Fool doth think:
‘how borders bold’re just lines of ink’.
