“Give me a televison until the age of seven, and I’ll give you Vincent”
- The Popculture Art of Vincent Carrozza
In hindsight my life long love of Pop Culture and art seems inevitable and obvious.
Wanting to draw and paint just like I watched my father do since as early as I can remember, I’ve not known a life without art of some kind throughout the years.
From a young age I could always be found drawing and devouring every book on art my parents and my school library could supply. The only thing that gave me as much joy as drawing was watching television with my family.
It was a weekly recipe of epic disaster films, mind blowing black and white science fiction adventures and so many incredible tv shows from the remarkable to the cheesy that my future was being written before my very eyes and I didn’t know it.
Fast forward, and now we find me in my more mature years (though my family would disagree about the “mature” bit). I’ve settled into creating art based on the pop culture of today and yesterday, the things that shaped me and inspired me.
I’ve been fortunate to have my work featured on numerous popular websites, sold on countless tshirts, optioned for use in a movie, hung in gallery shows on the other side of the world and adorn the walls of like-minded people whose happiness is one of my great motivations to keep creating.
I hope you find something to enjoy here, and can share the experience I’ve had in creating it for you.
Thanks for visiting!
