Can you believe I never never this movie!!! AHHHH!!! I love the illustration! I’m from NYC so must pride! :D
Are you trying to say you’ve never seen it? What..I..you..err..how…but…listen, listen real close…go and rent the dvd of escape from new york right now. even if you’re in surgery, and you’re the surgeon, leave the patient, tell the nurse or the janitor to cover for you, and go. Don’t answer the phone, don’t take a toilet break, just watch the film and revel in Kurt Russell’s ultimate role. Then, run back to the dvd store, and hire The Thing, Russell’s other greatest role with John Carpenter as director, and revel once again in Kurt Russell saving the world – or maybe not saving the world BECAUSE THE ENDING IS THAT GOOD! Aiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeee! Hmmm…another movie underepresented on tees…I shall have to fix that too…

30 years old this year that film is. (along with Scanners and Raiders OTLA. T2 is 20)
Thank you for reminding me of my mortality, Malc :)

This is good stuff!
One of the greatest anti-heroes of all time, Snake Plissken! (although I heard he was dead ;-) )
But how can people not have seen this movie?!
I’m not too keen on the alleged possibility of a remake, I think they should either leave it alone or John Carpenter should make a second sequel with Kurt Russell!
