I took this yesterday on a training walk with my team in Taupo. We are entering into the Oxfam Trailwalker! This is a 100 km walk that has to be completed within 36 hours (A few people have questioned my sanity). All the funds raised from this go to Oxfam for their various humanitarian aid projects around the globe. We have set our fundraising target to NZ$2500 and hopefully will exceed it. It’s such a great feeling to be doing something that will actually be a real help to those in need – poverty is a tragic reality of our world. The challenge of the Trailwalker is awesome too! We’re really looking forward to it, though I doubt we’ll be as excited at 3 in the morning, 3/4 of the way through and no long sleep in sight! Take a look at my team page and at the Trailwalker site itself.
