Summer and rain go hand in hand here in the U.K. It reminded me of an old picture I did a while back and I wanted to recreate it.
I always love the rain and I think it’s visually powerful.
Something about this piece reminds me of my older work — obviously the picture is based on an older piece, but I really like the overall simplicity of it all. I say it every time I do, but I love making simple line art pieces now and then.

Great piece! Love the use of colours and the lighting is subtle but dramatic :D
A strongly emotive piece of work for me, love the metaphor that she is holding off the rain in her life, making a safe place for herself amidst the downpour, especially the feminine and lively power of the red lips and shoes. Subtle, yet the strength and courage shine through. A well thought and executed piece of work (The rain reminds me of Hiroshige especially) . Adore! :)
