These ferries are used primarily to transport mail and freight, so the conditions are not as luxurious as other ferry services, and they are definitely not as fast as hopping on an aircraft to travel between the islands. Most mail boats, however, are covered and air conditioned, so comfort is not impossible. This is the perfect method of transportation for a tourist looking for adventure and to save a few bucks.
