These birds are in such great abundance that they may well become either vermin, or a food source.
The Canada Goose is a very successful breeder, and will tackle even swans in protecting it’s young.
Did you know that the white ‘chinstrap’ marking is what gives each bird it’s individuality?
Having photographed and studied these birds, I have actually noted an otherwise vastly ignored aspect of their markings: each of those chinstrap markings is different in each bird. They may all look identical at first glance, but there aare subtle differences in each bird.

Cool! We haven’t got many here yet thankfully, well not on this stretch. Mainly swans and duck and a couple of moor hens.. Nature looks after the strongest and this may be the way evolution is taking things.
