for years I’ve shot waterfall shots in one of two creeks only 100 yards apart but both in steep canyons. One is a series of small falls and cascades splashing among mossy rocks and giant boulders the other has an ’80 waterfall. This is that.
Shooting w/ Kimberly there 3 years ago convinced me it was one of nature’s grand outdoor studios but I’d had no takers on offers to shoot someone there.
Today the waterfall’s canyon was in late afternoon shade so I had nature’s softbox working overhead and behind me at peak efficiency.
Even tho’ I was shooting between 1/2 second and 1 second exposures (@ f16) Courtney held her poses like a trooper for me. This is but one image from a beautiful series.
Any Oregon shooters looking for a uniquely beautiful model willing to work as hard as you to capture such a shot, this new Oregon model deserves your business (sometimes I blow my mind and that’s when I know I never walk alone and nothing is truly mine).
I love making beautiful photographs and until I started working with Kim I never seriously explored the human body as subject.
I’m truly honored to have 2 such beautiful women (32 years apart in age) allow me these visual explorations into women’s beauty and sexuality.
And in this collaboration with Courtney I think I done went and did it – captured female form and beauty perfectly harmonized with nature’s beauty – all in one place and one image.
Call it my b’day present to me!
