While I am just a serious amateur, I have enjoyed photography since I was teenager. In 1979, my parents bought my first SLR, a Canon AE-1, as a combination Christmas and graduation present. Over the years since then, in addition to going to college,raising three children, and pursuing a teaching career, I have done quite a bit of reading on the subject in both magazines and books. However, I have not had any formal training. Everything I’ve learned, I’ve learned on my own. Photography has and probably always will be my favorite hobby. I love trying to take the relatively simple things in life that would otherwise go unnoticed and try to make them look beautiful or interesting. I would also like to extend a special thank you to my husband and my family for their patience while I shot numerous pictures during our various traveling experiences across Ohio and other parts of the United States.
