    I hope you had a LONG lens, Maria, and kept your distance from this one! Gives me the chills especially after hearing that two of my husband’s co-workers were snake bitten last week while hunting! A very graphic reminder here in your photo that we have to respect nature!

    Great timing. Consider a crop that will eliminate much of the BG details, concentrating in a vertical comp just on the snake. About 1/2 a finger from it’s bottom to slightly above the head and a crop on the left to be just about the upper body curve, and on the right at about the seconed grass blade from it’s mouth.. It will give a better comp and perspective on this excellent pose.Overall a classic strike pose well captured. I wish I could be there to see it..
