40 foot drop
I spent the morning trekking around McDowell Creek park. There are lots of fallen trees & damage to the man-made structures within the park thanks to recent snowstorms. Seems as though the walkways & bridges don’t stand up too well when trees fall on them.
I am so insanely happy with the way this one turned out. The early rays of the sun splitting through the forest to illuminate the mist just below the fall. Had just one of those rays of sun been touching the lip of the fall & the whole shot would have been blown.
I was also testing out my new Canon 24-105mm L glass.

Thank you, Sharon.

Sweet work here! I feel as if the bottom lake leads up tho the falls.
Thank you, Kenny. I made my way to a pretty tricky spot to get a different look than most people would shoot who visit this fall. I’m really happy with the way this one turned out. Most of my other shots from that day were crap thanks to the sun.
