This 82 foot fall is located on the Eagle Creek Trail in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge of Oregon. The falls were named in 1915, by a committee of Mazamas, for Metlako, the Indian goddess of Salmon, likely because of the fact that this waterfall marks the upstream limit to fish who spawn in Eagle Creek. You can’t actually get to this fall. Just a window shot from a precarious ledge. I thought the square composition made for a nice window view.
